Persons having active interest in physics and with a\u00a0<strong>master&#8217;s degree in science<\/strong>\u00a0or its equivalent are also eligible for the general membership. Honorary Membership, on a lifelong basis, is awarded to a person on recognition by the Society for significant individual contribution in the field of physics.
