ANNOUNCEMENT !!!

Dear Esteemed NPS Members,

We are so delighted to announce that Nepal Physical Society (NPS) is conducting an online “NPS School of Computing” from July 4, 2020, for the faculties of Physics working at different universities, constituent, community, and private campuses of Nepal. We are planning to run a long – term computing school as the classes are scheduled at weekends only (Saturday and Sunday). The main objective of this school is to develop the capabilities of computational skills (e.g., Numerical Methods, Simulation, and Animation, etc.) which are fundamental techniques in teaching Physics courses to Undergraduate and Graduate levels. The school includes from basic training on python programming (including to install Python and other programming tools on your PC and Cloud) to solving introductory computational problems in the Physics courses (e.g., differential equations in Mechanics and partial differential equations in Electrodynamics, Monte Carlo simulation in Statistical Physics and Condensed Matter Physics) using Python programming and Quantum Physics with QuTip, and Quantum Computing with QisKit, and several data-visualization techniques. Please have a look at the flier attached herewith for further information.

The lead role as an instructor of the school is Dr. Dibakar Sigdel, Data Scientist from the USA, who has already conducted summer and winter schools in ANPA, USA. If you are interested in participating in this school and develop your computational skill and research capability, please fill this google form properly as revealed in the link below:
